大地の会

太鼓楽団　大地の会

太鼓奏者木村優一がプロデュースする若手太鼓グループ。
打ち込みを得意とし、「歌うように打ち奏でる太鼓」をイメージさせる
高い打楽器技術は各方面で高評価を得ており、日本各地でコンサート、演奏活動を行っている。
また、ワークショップ等を通じた、子供たちへの和太鼓体験型学習を行うほか、
クイーンエリザベス号やダイアモンドプリンセス号などの船内コンサートや、
留学生をはじめとする海外の方たちへのワークショップも行う。
2017年には初の海外公演を行い、2019年には全米14か所にてコンサートツアーを展開。
大都市だけでなく、日本文化が浸透していない街でもスクールコンサート等を行い、
和太鼓や日本文化の普及に力を注いだ。
「大地の会」の名前は、木村優一作曲　阪神淡路大震災太鼓レクイエム曲「大地」を由来としており、
世界の平和や次世代へ命の大切さを伝える意味も込められている。

Daichi no Kai

　　The taiko performance group Daichi no Kai, formed by Mr. Kimura in 2011, is widely renowned for its high-level technique. Using specialized methods of striking the surface of the drum, the group’s all-percussion performance is designed to carry the musicality of a singing human voice. In addition to conducting workshops for adults, this group uses a method of interactive learning to offer children hands-on experience with taiko.

　　Daichi no Kai also seeks to promote the art of taiko worldwide. With performances on British cruise ships MS Queen Elizabeth and Diamond Princess, as well as Mr. Kimura’s successful 2017 public solo performances in the United States, the group is expanding its activities to the global scale.

　　The name “Daichi no Kai” finds its origins in “Daichi” (“Earth”), the piece Mr. Kimura composed in requiem for the Great Hanshin Earthquake. Under this name, the group seeks to guide future generations in understanding the value of life and peace on earth.
